Our client is a well known company and member of a worldwide leader in complex offshore marine (engineering) projects. Within the oil & gas industry they are succesfull in the construction, installation and removal for the TOP10 companies

This is an innovative company for high tech design, engineering and operating for fulfilling these projects. They provide special self designed techniques and equipment

Your Mission

  • Prepare freight forwarding scope and commercial and technical input for projects
  • Prepare required documentation/procedures for logistics scope of work, ensuring incorporation of contractual requirements
  • Arrange cargo movements to destinations overseas. In this role you could be involved in all modes of transport including air, sea, road and rail freight.
  • Prepare and process documentation for international shipping such as commercial invoices and shipper’s export declaration Bills of Lading
  • Arrange and monitor the progress of transports and expedite as required
  • Provide on-site logistical services during project execution
  • Maintain contact with logistical service providers and evaluate their performance
  • Arrange and expedite payments and purchase orders
  • Initiate, develop and execute plans and procedures to improve existing logistical and material storage/distribution control processes, both onshore and offshore
  • Investigate and arrange alternative transportation and load-out ports
  • Maintain contact with brokers/owners for hiring of vessels required for mobilisations/ demobilisations

Your Professional Skills

  • MBO/HBO degree with a logistical or technical background
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with logistics and maritime operations
  • Knowledge of all transport utilities and transport control systems
  • Willingness to travel, up to 4-6 months per year
  • Knowledge of custom formalities
