Your Mission

  • Support and advise the Project Manager and discipline engineers on QHSE matters on a project basis
  • Support and advise vessel based Safety Officers on QHSE matters
  • Monitor compliance with corporate and project QHSE requirements and locally applicable rules and regulations
  • Liaise with client QHSE professionals on the implementation of project specific QHSE requirements
  • Lead HAZOP and risk assessments for both commercial and internal projects, and follow up on actions raised
  • Lead corporate incident investigation and follow up on actions raised
  • Review project environmental impact assessments and advise on their implementation

Your Professional Skills

  • MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ broad experience in the field of health, safety and environment in the offshore/marine industry, not limited to safety only
  • Experience and knowledge of platform dismantling operations and development of Safety Case documentation and associated studies
  • Experience and knowledge of maintaining and operating management systems to the guiding standards, with priority on ISM and/or OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
  • Experience with performing HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA and other risk assessment techniques
  • Experience with SIMOPS and safety interface management in the offshore/marine industry
  • Understanding of international HSE regulations applicable in the offshore/marine industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and spoken
  • Fit for offshore work
  • Willingness to travel

Functional Safety Engineer

Your Mission

  • Support a multidisciplinary team on functional safety matters across the entire lifecycle
  • Develop best practice working procedures to support functional safety activities
  • Prepare, organise and facilitate different risk assessments studies
  • Support the development of Safety Instrumented Systems
  • Perform reliability calculations
  • Implement risk reduction principles
  • Create and maintain formal documents (e.g. Safety Requirements Specifications)
  • Check standard and regulatory compliance

Your Professional Skills

  • BSc/MSc degree in Mechanical, Control or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of IEC 61508/61511 and/or ISO 13849
  • Relevant work experience with functional safety, ideally with offshore experience
  • Experience with equipment design, electrical and hydraulic schematics and Safety Instrumented Systems
  • Knowledge and ability to utilise tools related to safety development (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, FMECA, FTA, etc.)
  • Pro-active and self-motivated team player with strong engineering judgment skills
  • Able to work well in a high pressure environment with continuous changes
  • Creativity and strong analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for short assignments and work abroad or offshore, if necessary

Heavy Lift Engineer

About our Client

Your Mission

  • Analyse and prepare project specifications for load-in, platform preparations, platform leg cutting, yard preparation, barge transfer and tow, offshore lift and transportation operations 

  • Prepare design calculations and reports for all (structural) heavy lift design work within scope, budget and schedule 

  • Perform FEED and feasibility studies to identify the best solution for either single lift installation or removal of large (> 5,000t) topsides and jackets 

  • Design and calculate rigging and pad eyes for modular lifts of modules, flare stacks and drilling derricks with the 5,000t special purpose crane 

  • Design grillage and sea fastening suitable for transfer and load-in of single lifted topsides and jackets up to 48,000t using the purpose build 200m long heavy transportation barge 

  • Design of special lifting gear; Spreader bars, internal/external lifting tools 

  • Participate in HAZID and HAZOP risk identification sessions prior to the operations 

  • Prepare factory acceptance and commissioning test for project equipment 

  • Prepare disposal yard and transfer barge for platform transfer and load-in operations 

  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to define efficient and cost effective solutions 

  • Provide support for interface engineering and liaison with 3rd parties and Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) 

  • Liaise with the project team, subcontractors, crew, clients and certification authority 

  • Participate in a multidisciplinary engineering team 


Your Professional Skills

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical, Civil or Maritime Engineering 

  • 5-7 years’ relevant work experience 

  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken 

  • Willingness to travel and work offshore occasionally
